Consolidated Glass Slip Shades
From the Art Deco period, two names for quality and design are well recognized by collectors: Lightolier and Consolidated Glass. With these fixtures, we have the best of these two iconic companies.
Lightolier chose Consolidated Glass shades to complement their design, called Stylux, shown in their 1933 catalog as "antique gold". The 1933 catalog states that the shades are in the color of "goldentone".
The original finish is still there, as shown in the photos. Their are no breaks or chips in the shades allowing them to show off their beauty and brilliance. This fixtures as been rewired.
Naturally, the condition of the of the finish is commensurate with its age, while the photos show what a wonderful pair this is.
Pulled these from a beautiful 1928 Colonial home in Western Pennsylvania.
