On June 12, 2008, Christian Laettner received a distinguished honor as he was inducted into the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame - joining his Duke teammate Bobby Hurley, who was inducted a few years prior, and their esteemed coach, Coach K, who received the honor in 1991.
Laettner's induction into the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame not only celebrated his accomplishments as an athlete but also recognizesd his Polish heritage. The large plaque offered here was presented to Laettner at his induction - it is a substantial award, weighing approximately 5 pounds.  It commemorates his basketball success at Duke University as well as his NBA career.
