EXTREMELY RARE DECO MICA LINED OSCAR BACH ' BACCHUS ' PENDANT CHANDELIER / LAMP

Description

Rare form 1930's Deco / Gothic figural Oscar Bach (1884-1957) 'Bacchus' pendant chandelier. We've searched the internet for pictures of this dramatic Oscar Bach fixture finding only the matching ' Bacchus ' lamp. It's in excellent working condition. Old porcelain socket. All metal brass/bronze components with original finish are intact without breaks or repairs. Age related patina/wear as shown. Open work lined with what appears to be the original mica insert. 26 amber glass prisms ring the fixture and were added as few of the original prisms survived the years of use (we will include 4 additional prisms). There are two theatrical Bacchus masks flanked by grape and leaf foliate detail. Measures approximately 15"H from prism ring to the top hanging ring. Could be hung from a ceiling mount with the use of additional chain (not included) or hung from a floor lamp stand. Chain as found measures 14".
