The TWO items for bid are both vintage Philadelphia Phillies baseball glasses. First there is a 1950s Phillies beer glass in beautiful Mint Condition. The glass is slightly over 5 inches tall. The second item is a
1980 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Champs Rocks Glass in Excellent Condition (this glass has
two tiny flaws as described in the condition section).
The front of the glass celebrates the Phillies triumph, while the back lists the names of the players and coaching staff. Names include the Phillies all-time best pitcher Steve Carlton, all-time best everyday player Mike Schmidt, who are both members of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Also on the 1980 team and on the glass is Major League Baseball’s all-time hits leader Pete Rose. A nice piece of memorabilia commemorating the Fighting Phils first ever World Series victory.
