Up for auction is this vintage or antique French solid bronze double candle wall sconce. Nice architectural salvage piece.
It is very heavy and is finely detailed throughout. There are delicate scrolls, horizontal lined ground in the top cartouche, some floral foliage crossed towards the bottom, an acorn finial top, and two extending ornamental baskets with open holes / slots measuring 3/8” inch in diameter for two candles.
Very ornate and interesting piece possibly by a highly regarded artist.
Measures 15” inches long, 4.4 inches wide, and 2.3” inches thick at its thickest (38.1 cm, 11.2 cm, 5.8 cm).
Would make a fantastic sconce to use and display, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
